SOA? That is soooo 2006. Looks like some folks are already cracking on HOA. Hornet oriented architecture, doncha know? Maybe in an HOA more than 28% of the systems will use security? Israel Developing anti-militant bionic hornet (h/t John Robb):
Israel is using nanotechnology to try to create a robot no bigger than a hornet that would be able to chase, photograph and kill its targets, an Israeli newspaper reported on Friday.
The flying robot, nicknamed the "bionic hornet", would be able to navigate its way down narrow alleyways to target otherwise unreachable enemies such as rocket launchers, the daily Yedioth Ahronoth said.
Now that is what I call decentralized security. This all brings up a question or two for information security. Can you get a XML parser on a hornet, for example? I suppose if you can put one on a smart card today, a XML capable hornet should not be too far in the future.
