Video cameras have now become normal on every UK street. They should now be introduced into every house. Some will complain that this oversight over the public would be too intrusive. But those with nothing to hide have no reason to fear the enhanced surveillance. Only the criminally inclined need do so. Surely, everybody would become used to it, in the end, as they have on the roads.Monitoring has its place, but as with all things security its really about means and ends
